Inclusive Theatre
Though inspired by Disability Arts and Disability Theatre, Inclusive Theatre is “different than ‘disability theatre,’ which is theatre groups who work specifically with one or more segments of the disabled population” (Barton Farcas, 2018). Inclusive groups such as Hijinx (Wales), Oasis (South Africa) and W.I.T. (USA) are shattering stigmas throughout the arts by creating a community- to include all marginalized groups- to improve their worlds, their lives and the lives of others.
